Little Luna

I am very excited to announce that I will be self-publishing my children’s book, ‘Little Luna and The Universe’ at the end of the month.

I wrote and illustrated Little Luna and The Universe five years ago, so it feels really good to finally be putting it out there.

The inspiration for the book came to me when I was baby-sitting for a little girl named Sophie. She was three-years-old at the time. She asked me, “Why does the moon follow the sun?”

At that moment I knew I wanted to write a children’s book to teach children about the Universe.

When I started writing the book, I thought it was only going to be serving to teach children about the Universe from a scientific point-of-view. As I continued writing and re-writing, a story and a character named Little Luna had developed.

Once I finished, I realized that this book was not only a way for children to learn about the bigger picture of the Universe on a scientific level, but it was also a way to expose children to the spiritual themes of love and oneness that are so often associated with the Universe.

On the night we meet Little Luna, she dreams herself to a distant place in the Universe. She must learn about the Universe before she can go back home and return to wake up in her bed.

She learns about galaxies, the solar system, and the names of all the planets. She also learns about the moon, and that the Universe and everything in it, is one. She understands that she is part of that oneness. After she returns home that night, Little Luna realizes that her perception of the night sky has been forever changed. She is grateful for what she has learned on her journey that night and now recognizes the importance of her dreams.

A Message from LOTS OF LOVE to you:

I am very excited to finally be able to share my very first full-length album ‘From the Start’ with you and the rest of the world.

Music has always been a huge part of my life. It has always had the power to take me to magical places and experience feelings I never knew I had in places I never even knew existed. That’s what good music does.

When I first started writing songs of my own it was the most exciting and transformative feeling in the world! The first song I ever wrote, ‘It’s Happening’ practically flew out of me around nine years ago. If you listen to the lyrics you can kind of tell. The moment I played back my first demo-recording of it, my life had been changed. From that point on, I knew I was a song-writer. Now, not only did I have access to the powerful world of listening to great music by other artists, but I realized I also had the power to make music of my own. Song-writing is one of the greatest gifts in the world. It is an emotional outlet and can be your best friend when you need one. It can also be a fun and rewarding form of self-expression and artistry.

It is my intention with the release of ‘From the Start’, that this album will find its audience. The music I’ve made over the years has certainly been a gift to me. Now I want to share it with you, and allow it to reach the minds, ears and hearts of all people in this world who will enjoy it.

There are songs on this album that will uplift you. Songs that you can listen to when you are feeling sad and need to stay feeling sad a little while longer. There are songs that will make you think, and songs that might surprise your ears. I hope you enjoy the music, and please stay in touch with me if you dig it. Thank you!

Lots of Love

The Peppermint Lounge. The Ronnettes. Phil Spector’s “Wall of Sound.” Nancy Sinatra. Connie Francis. That moment when the innocence of 50′s doo wop met the highly produced pop sounds of the early 60′s, and our newly confident consumer culture became obsessed with the one thing money can’t buy- love.

Here, on singer-songwriter Jessica Fleischer’s debut release, we get to enjoy the ultra-feminine sound of the great female pop vocalists of that era, with more than just Jessica’s flawlessly sweet voice, but also in her newly crafted material that merely feels retro, but brings the burning desire for “Lots of Love” to a new generation.

Working with producer Robert Schwartzman, Jessica Fleischer’s pop-infused romance barely disguises her deeper longing for true love. One thing is for sure- you’ll fall in love with Jessica Fleischer and “Lots of Love” on your first listen. It’s a romance that’s bound to last for years to come.
